Ways You Can Help Those Effected by the Earthquake in Haiti

To help with relief efforts:

Text the word "ADRA" to 85944, reply "YES" and donate $10 to ADRA's Haiti Earthquake Response Fund.

Text "HAITI" to "90999" and $10 will be given automatically to the Red Cross, charged to your cell phone bill.

The U.S. State Department Operations Center has set up the following number for Americans seeking information about family members in Haiti: 1-888-407-4747 (due to heavy volume, some callers may receive a recording). Our embassy is still in the early stages of contacting American Citizens through our Warden Network. Communications are very difficult within Haiti at this time.

In addition to sending doctors and nurses to assist the relief efforts in Haiti, Florida Hospital is currently coordinating efforts with the U.S. State Department and ADRA to collect money and supplies.

The Forest Lake Seventh-day Adventist Church has also established a relief fund for Haiti relief efforts.  Proceeds will go to the Inter-America division of the Adventist Development & Relief Agency (ADRA), who is operating the Church's relief efforts in Haiti.  Donations to the fund can be made online:
